Banquet

We are elated to announce that our Annual Banquet is back and in person this fall.

When:
Thursday, September 16, 2021
6:00 pm Social / 7:00 pm Dinner and Program

Where:
Xavier University
Schiff Conference and Banquet Center
1624 Herald Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45207

This year, our theme is, “REVEALED: God’s Plan for the Human Person.”

We chose this theme because God became flesh in order to reveal his plan of love for the human person. Now, more than ever, we need to invite God into our friendships, marriages, and families, so that we can experience his love and bring it to the world. The Holy Spirit-inspired keynote address for the evening will be given by the amazing Damon Owens (as Fr John Riccardo will not be able to make it).

The current culture urgently needs the message of Theology of the Body. This theological time bomb should not sit on a shelf, but is meant to be shared with every Catholic school in the United States and beyond. That is the goal of Ruah Woods.

Come and support us through this evening of fun and fellowship and learn more about what we do and our mission to change the world to a culture of authentic love and abundant life through this important and prophetic re-articulation of Holy Scripture by Pope St. John Paul II. The time is now to reclaim the inherent dignity and authentic identity of the human person. Do not miss this important event!

Our keynote speaker this year is none other than dynamic speaker, and Theology of the Body (TOB) expert, Damon Owens (Fr. John Riccardo is unable to make it).

Damon Owens, international speaker and evangelist, is executive director of Joyful Ever After (joyfuleverafter.org). The first executive director of the Theology of the Body Institute and chairman of the 2016 International Theology of the Body Congress, Damon founded Joyful Ever After as a non-profit ministry dedicated to encouraging and educating couples to understand and live marriage and family life together with joy through St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.

Host of the 2020 Catholic Marriage Summit,  presenter at the 2019 Catholic Family Life Symposium, 2017 USCCB Convocation of Catholic Leaders, and 2015 World Meeting of Families, Damon keeps a full international speaking schedule at conferences, seminars, universities, high schools, seminaries, and parishes on the good news of marriage, sexuality, Theology of the Body, Theology of the Family, adoption, and NFP. In 2018, Pope Francis honored Damon with his Benemerenti Papal Medal in recognition for his work in support of marriage and family. Damon and his wife Melanie have eight children and live outside Philadelphia.

Damon has published numerous articles, appeared on many radio and television programs (EWTN, Catholic Answers, Ave Maria, Relevant Radio, Immaculate Heart Radio, ABC World News Tonight, CBS News, NPR), taught in many major Catholic faith programs, and has hosted and produced three 13-part television series for EWTN. He is also an accomplished gospel singer honored with a solo during the 1995 NJ Papal Mass at Giants Stadium presided by Pope St. John Paul II.
