TOB Grade 1

Even as a priest, future Pope St. John Paul II used plays, poetry, art and stories to awaken young people to the wonder of their humanity, the purpose of love, and the beauty of their culture. His teaching changed lives then and it’s even more profoundly needed now. Borrowing insight from the master, our curriculum is literature-based. You can capture with your students the joy, wonder, peace, and virtue of discovering the gift of life and of being human.

The two units included in this Grade 1 package include The Animal Hedge, A Seed is Sleepy and a Teacher’s Guide for each. It represents two to four weeks of teaching per unit – in many cases even more. Generous Lesson Extensions offer the enterprising teacher returns to these themes throughout the year.
