ROOTED: K-2 Theology of the Body Curriculum Releasing this September.

July 21, 2017

Our long awaited elementary school Theology of the Body curriculum entitled ROOTED will begin to be available for your classroom starting in September. The first phase of the curriculum entitled In The Beginning features two units per grade from Kindergarten through Second Grade. Each unit represents 1-3 weeks of teaching material and includes beautifully illustrated children’s literature and companion Teacher’s Guide to draw Theology of the Body lessons from the story.

Hands on activities engaging all the senses are offered to evoke wonder and teach many aspects of the beauty of God’s creation — including each of us as a unique and unrepeatable Child of God! The material is being reviewed for the imprimatur and may not have mark by the time of this first printing. But this supplemental material is age-appropriate and authentically tied to the teaching Pope St. John Paul II and is designed to easily dovetail into any teaching schedule any time.

This curriculum is especially easy to use for catechists and parents and grandparents at home as well as homeschoolers. Themes in the curriculum include:

• Creation is a gift
• Human work
• Order, Design and Meaning
• Beauty
• Original Solitude
• Generosity & Fruitfulness
• and many more

The bundle of 2 units per grade (including two works of children’s literature and two Teacher’s Guides) will be made available for $90 plus shipping and handling. Advance orders can be placed through our website at ruahwoodsinstitute.org beginning August 15.
